GMDSS Simulator

Transas networked GMDSS simulators are high level software products for IBM PC/AT
designed for both, the beginners and experienced sea navigators and radio officers.

TGS-4100 GMDSS simulator provides the instructor with the following capabilities:

Sting Ray - Torpedo Offline Simulator

The OLS (or Off Line Simulation) is a simulation of Sting Ray torpedo engagements with targets in the underwater environment. The OLS is capable of simulating many different environments, targets and weapon characteristics, all of which you are able to edit using the tools built into the simulation. The OLS is a highly visual simulation. It comes equipped with many graphical plots and layouts to provide you with a visual representation of the simulation while in operation.

Proteus - Action Speed Tactical Trainer

PROTEUS offers basic training for:

  • Anti-Surface Warfare (ASuW)
  • Anti-Air Warfare (AAW)
  • Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW)
  • Multi-Threat Environments
  • Joint/Multi-force Deployments
  • Electronic Warfare
  • Mine Warfare
  • Basic CIC operations
  • Sonar Operations
  • Radar Operations
  • Communication Operations
  • Plotting skills

Navy-Sailor 3000 - Navigation And Ship Handling Simulator

General data

The Navi-Sailor 3000 has been designed in compliance with the IMO requirements for Integrated Navigational Systems (draft IEC61924). The simulator is used to train students in the field of navigation and ship handling using a network system.

In the networked configuration, it is possible to share route information between several interactive Navi-Sailor systems. When this function is activated, a route collection on a secondary workstation is compared with the route collection of the Master workstation.

Link 11 Simulator with C2 Capabilities

General Data

The C-Flex system software is developed for use in conjunction with a variety of multi function consoles, MFC. The MFC and the C-Flex software are made to support a wide variety of functionalities and tasks that are demanded of the military personnel on the vessel.

Functions within the Console Framework shall in general be accessible by each and every operator. This concerns the following components:

Electronical navigation and naval communication equipments laboratory

Radar Navigation

Marine Radar Equipment JRC JMA-5310-6

Target Detection by Latest Signal Processing Technology

The system employs the latest digital signal processing technology to eliminate undesired clutter from the radar video signals that are obtained from the receiver with a wide dynamic range, thus improving the target detection.

Advanced Technology Based ARPA/ATA Functions (Option)

Electrical engineering and automation Laboratory with LabVIEW

The overall mission of this interactive laboratory is to engage in both dedicated and interdisciplinary research studies and training facilities while providing life long experimental practices in areas related to Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

This laboratory is suitable for teaching the basic electrical engineering courses. The principal target audience is the second and the third year electrical engineering students.
